Since the mid-1970s, Dr. Gail Weingast has dedicated herself fervently to the field of medicine -- and specifically, to work within ultrasound and radiology. Although she didn’t find this niche until several years within medicine, Weingast discovered this passion following fellowships in pediatrics and achievement of her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1976 from Boston University’s School of Medicine. She started to study her chosen focus in 1980 with a residency for three years at Colorado General Hospital in Denver. In 1983, she followed with a fellowship in ultrasound and then continued thereafter in both ultrasound and radiology for the rest of her career, serving today as MD at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut.
